Brake Rotors

Brake Rotors
I bought my car a few months ago with about 13 thousand miles on it and got a good deal. The only thing I didn't like was a rumbling noise when I braked between 40 and 55. It didn't bother me too much until recently when I was driving down hill and my brakes rumbled like something was about to fall off. Needless to say, I was done putting up with it so I brought it in and had Ford look at it. I got a call yesterday saying that one of the rotors was actually cracked (from the previous owner) and that they'd replace both the front ones but they'd have to overnight the parts, so I'm thinking "great how much will this be?" Just got another call from the place again this morning-"You can come by and get your car whenever you want, it was still under warranty." Wow, I gained some respect for Ford today.

RE: Brake Rotors
You know I have noticed a brake noise, albeit minor, very minor, ever since my car was delivered to me with 3 miles on it. Also you can feel it in the pedal like when your pads are worn. Its not all the time just every now and then, I pulled the wheels and calipers and everything looks fine. I wonder if there is a design issue somewhere?

I'd assume they're the V6, don't know why they'd use the GT's, although the price is the same. This is the same place that fixed my bumper on my F-150 when I got rear-ended. They even washed/waxed/vaccumed it out. Really nice place though. It's called Quality Service, if you're ever in Williamsport, PA. It's kinda in the middle of nowhere but really friendly, helpful people. Slightly strange, because this area is overwhelmingly Chevy people. Saw lots of "$0's" on that paper and the guy that I got my key back from said "this is probably the cheapest repair you'll ever have" and then laughed. They had quite a few mustangs that they were working on too. It's nice to finally feel what it's supposed to be like when stopping.
