stock muffler ?

I just put a gt muffler on does anyone know what the bracket on the back end of the stock muffler with the brown rubber tube is for

Not sure what it is for, but when switching out factory to GT take off mufflers on a V6 you have that extra ugly thing you dont need.

itsthe exhaust hanger that mounts the factory muffler. The GT mufflers doesnt use that one

It's a dampener that's suppose to reduce harmonic sounds that occur at certain RPM's on the V6's single exhaust.. There is also one on the exhaust pipes closer to the cats.[/align]
