Most aggresive sounding exhausts? Flowmaster?
SOHCman:
your clips make me want to go with those as opposed to the FRPP borlas..i know it would cost less if i did...im very picky when it comes to exhaust and will bounce back and forth between different ones before i finally place an order for something..only thing is i would want to go with an H pipe since i hear they give a beefier tone than an X..so i wonder what the JBA H pipe+midpipes with street pros(or maybe even violators, which is louder?) would sound like..

I looked for 2 MONTHS before deciding on the PYPES Street Pros.
Buddies of mine have Ford, Magnaflow,SLP, Borla and Corsas...
Still like mine the best, its the loudest without being "ricey".
H or X aint gonna matter on sound quality.
You hear a lot of TALK about it but no videos to prove it.

yea i guess you are correct on that..its alot of "saying" H is a better tone but i've yet to see any real proof..but yea i've noticed the pypes seem to be the least ricy sounding..some of the others sound really good at idle and low rpms, then soon as it hits like 3-4k rpms it goes to hell, your clips (the night time one to be exact) almost seemed as if it was deep and tough sounding from idle to a pretty high rpm, after you came to a stop and took off...that may have made my mind up for me..which is kind of a relief because i've been spending day after day trying to find the cheapest way to get JBA H-pipe/mids and FRPP borlas..and no matter how you cut it,without knowing someone to get a discount from, those bastards are expensive..
with the money i save going with pypes i might be able to throw a GT/CS rear bumper on

Bought a GT bumper...

And the 4" tips look awesome with the GT cutouts...

I have SLP's, they are very very veryloud and gurgly,no drone, and NO rice at all.
the only problem I have with it is at 1900-2000 RPM thats when the car looses the gurgle and buzzes down the road but if you punch it for a second just to get out of the 1900-2000 range the gurgle comes back, and you can cruise again.
Hopefully that problem will go away once I swap out my Y pipe with a JBAH pipe, JBAShorty headers, and SLP High Flow Cats.
plus I'm going to retune my idle RPM to 900 up from the stock 750. That will make idle sound much higher (not higher pitch or tone, just louder)......it may just be the best sounding v6 out there.....hopefully.

Raising the idle with an automatic could be dangerous as it will make your car harder to stop.
Same reason as slipping into Neutral to stop on slippery roads (transmission is not working against you).
As for the SLPs (no drone), the only mufflers on a V6 that you can actually hear INSIDE my car while following them was Torch_Vert's Corsas. (I do videos on the Mustang cruises we do).
And that is when he was gettin' on it.
If you don't have drone, your car isn't as loud as you think outside.
Even my son-in-law has said that my V6 is the best sounding stang he's run across. Everything else is too quiet and doesn't sound like a Mustang should.
I like my son-in-law... Good taste in cars.

its an auto. I was told about the idle RPM by someone over on the main section. I wont be doing that now.
I cant hear inside my car, but its not drone. it doesnt vibrate, or have a low frequency that kills your ears just LOUD rumble.

a couple have said that flowmaster AT's internal design is no good. seems like you're basically paying for the name. probably better off with good ol' 40 series if you want to stick with flowmasters. i have JBA's and am VERY pleased with them. other JBA owners say the same. i've also heard many good things of the borla/Ford Racing muffs (borla makes the ford racing mufflers). both of these have deep agressive tones. very much american muscle and no rice. single muffs aren't very expensive mods so don't feel stuck with yours if you decide you want to try something different. GT takeoffs are also muffs you cant go wrong with.
