Default Door Electrial Problems

Ok so heres my problem. The power window and lock/unlock lights wontlight up on either door. Also, both windows wont go up or down with the switch; however, they stillgodown a little when you open the door and up a little when you close the door. We checked both window motor fuses but nothing. What could be the problem?

Never heard of this before. The motors could be on a 2 stage switch - would explain the automatic function working when the door opens/closes. Take the door panel off / remove the switch & test with a multimeter to see if anything obvious shows up - it does sound like power is not getting into the switch though.

My '05 coupe did have the problem where the windows wouldn't operate on the one touch down - the handbook has a page on re-setting the door electrics, maybe there's something in there about this (would check but mine is in the car, in storage).

I have issues with my passenger window... kinda the same stuff but the internal lighting works fine. Mine somtimes wont auto-up when the door is closed and somtimes wont automaticaly roll up when I pull the switch all the way up. I took it in to have the guys look at it and they said somthing about the programming the first time and told me to roll the window down all the way... then hold the button down for 10 seconds and then to roll the window up and hold it for 10 seconds in the up position... oh and make sure the car is in the ON position ... but dont turn over the engine... once you finish turn the key to the off position and then start the car up... that usualy takes care of any problems that I have... but then for some reason the problems keep comming back... I took the car in again a while back and had them look at it... turned out there was some sort of brass connecter or somthing that was coroded a little bit... they replaced it and now the problem happens a little less.... but its still there... I still am having problems ... probobly will take it in again somtime (after I figure out all my Diablo predator problems lol)

hope some of that was helpfull :-)

Do any of you have problems with your car leaking? That could explain where the corrosion is coming from.

I would have thought leaking but the windows do not work off
the SJB. They have their own brains attached to them. They need
12V and they sink the input to work. They are supplied with 12V
thru the accessory delay circuit. 07' Wiring diagrams below:

I doubt they would be concerned about an engine tune for warranty work on the door electrical system - however it may be an issue if they do figure your car is modified & you later need warranty work that could have been affected by the tune.
