this swap is easy. if it wasn't for me forging the 4.6 and adding a kenni bell i could do it right at 4k. we're even doing a 4.6 three valve swap in my sons 03 mustang gt 4.6 two valve.

yeah OK. you got lucky and found the parts cheap. most people will wind up with over $5000 on the swap

drop that money into the V6 and it's making more power than the stock 3V without the hassle and downtime.

also people remember that you must notify your insurance company that you now have a V8 in the car. if you don't and wreck the car and they find out you have a V8 then they at the least will not cover damages and at the worst can sue you for insurance fraud because you were paying V6 premiums with a V8 in the car. depending on the drivers age that could be quite e big difference.

federal law doesn't require you to notify your insurance of HP adding mods to the original engine and if you wreck with a turbo 4.0 it's fully covered.

yeah it's sounds dumb but that's insurance for ya. my 24yr old friend pay's less on his STI that i do on my V6 stang and i am 35 with a clean driving record for over 5 yrs and even at that only a few speeding tickets in my past. the STI is a fourdoor so the insurance is cheaper because insurance is still stuck in the 70's when there was no such thing as a 4 door sports car

ouch. ok this swap is easy for some people. like the senior in high school that bought my trans. to do a auto to manual.swap. i think he was going to just buy a new car with a five speed but could'nt find one within five hundred miles so he was just going to order one from the dealer. oops wrong story. i replied to this thread at first when no one else did and replied again that is was a easy swap not to hurt anyones feelings. the parts i've got and waiting to get are all still available and within 75 miles dearborn mi. most within 30. what does insurance have to do with someone asking if 4.6 swap can be done. i'm a firm believer that if you listen to people they will tell you how smart or stupid they are. oh yea we do have to splice some wires on my boys swap.

Happy Thanksgiving

Add a $600+8.8 T-Loc rear end to the list
as well to handle all that added power.
