Default gt exhaust on v6 question

So my buddy has his oem gt exhaust and said I could have it. My question is, am I able to just swap the muffler axle back? I want to keep it a single still. Will I see any gains? Or hear a difference?

Thanks

Should it bolt right up if I remove the v6 muffler?

if you dont have an intake, any performance gain from the muff will most likely be felt in the higher rpm's. that was my experience after my setup was installed. the gt muff should be a definate improvement over the stock sixr muff, no doubt.

i had a single gt takeoff for about two days before i went true duals. straight pipes with the GT mufflers. I liked the single exhaust for what it was you will not be disapointed, but you are going to want to go duals. The look and sound is awesome. Little performance gain in the upper rpm's when you hit the gas at the upper rpm's it doesnt hesitate as much
