My wife's Ford Edge has heated seats, and the only time I actually enjoyed them were when we visited Illinois in the winter. We live in Texas, so I never use them, but she uses them all the time.

Heated seats + convertible + nightime = good

Otherwise heated seats are kind of worthless....

I don't have heated seats in my car, but is it possible to get them put in from ford?
I wouldnt even consider paying dealership prices for something like that.
As has been said, there are good aftermarket options available.
If installing them yourself isn't an option, talk to a local upholstery shop about installing them for you.

We're doing heaters, that leather has been COLD this winter. Now I dread summer... Seriouisly considering custom upholstery work and getting rid of the leather...

In my 07 when it comes to the weather im not a fan of leather. But my buddy has an 05 with cloth and those are the most uncomfortable seats that i have sat in. We recently took a roadtrip and my back was killing me after 5 hours of driving. As far as comfort leather has my vote.

Thats the reason I want it, I have a convertible and I want to be warm at night with the top down. If do get the aftermarket. Will the heated seats button be the same and in the same placeor will they be different looking and located somewhere else.

I had heated seats installed by an aftermarket shop up the road from the dealership as part of my deal when I bought my mustang last year. It was $350 well spent in my opinion. Your cost may vary. I work at the dealership part-time so I got it at a discount as far as I know....[]
