Default Hurst Short Throw

Got it put in on saturday,, I was going to but we had a slow day in the shop so I had one of our tech's do it,,, took him about 20 minutes.

I must tell you , this is my fave mod thus far. Ive done a FRPP axle back, CnL intake and tune, fang chin, some looknice goodies.

Im not thrilled the way it looks at the moment, I need a black shift **** to go with the all black interior ( stupid white shifter ****)but it works GREAT. The stops are very firm, no more spongey feel. The throw Im guessing is about 40% shorter, maybe more. The one drawback is it sounds even clunkier than before ( I think I need some dynamat there) but worth every penny i paid for it.

Definitely use Dynomat, additionally I would use locktite on the threads as this shifter vibrates and has a tendency to vibrate the allen bolts loose (where the handle attaches to the shifter base) You are correct though....this shifter rocks, the chunkiness will mellow quite a bit with use, it will still feel notchy and aggressive but no as coarse, if that makes any sense. Good upgrade!

Ya know I was wondering about that,, I had a bit of a vibe noise on the freeway tonight. Ill do that tomorrow,, thanks.

The one good thing about having no soundproof in the shifter housing is I can hear that Borla sing while ripping through the gears. lol
