I have S&B CAI, and with temp above 40F, doing 120 miles a day, 5 days a week with 90% at 70mph, my mpg is 30.1 pretty consistant with leaded gas, NO ETHENOL or other additives with reformulations. Best is 31.8 and imagine half was with tail wind. Love my lil 6er with 62,000, 2 years April. This Pony goes everywhere I go. Had fuel filter change at 40K and that's it. Run snow tires winter. Get a S&B CIA that requires no tune and save your money, especially on a 6er.

Steedas overpriced.
C&L with a tune FTW.

Honestly, unless the elbow is constructed out of some kind of heat resistant material it will not offer any more performance than the crappy stock rubber hose. The majority of performance from any intake package is the larger filament that allows for more air to enter the intake plenum. More air necessitates more fuel and of course this means a recalibration of your pcm. The C&L is a great looking intake (I had one for over a year before the XC) but the elbow has little to do with performance.
