Im trying to figure out how dark I want my tint. So if you have pics please post them and what % they are to help me decide. Thanks.

 

20% was the magic number for me.

 

+1. I don't have any pics because I haven't done mine yet, but that's what I'm going with this summer. 20% seems to be the overwhelming popular number around here. Not too dark so you get bagged on by the cops all the time, but dark enough to give you some privacy and a nice cool look.

And 4.0, since your pony is black, be careful to not go with something too light. 30% or 50% or whatever might look okay on a white car (because of the contrast), but with a darker body color, you'll end up with tint that looks too light and not very nice. I don't think I would touch anything lighter than 20% on a dark colored car (unless cops in your area are total douchebags about window tint, which is also a factor.)

 

There is a 6% factory tint on our cars already.. (so really like a 94% tint..lol)

I had mine at 35% and that was not dark enough.. (the place used 40% tint and it came out at 35% because the solar glass)

Now mine is 20%, which is in reality more like 15%.

Its not blackout during the day (you can see shadows).. but at night its black.

Plus its good becuase you can see out of it.. when I had my 1/4 windows done 5% I couldn't see out of them.

20%, seems to be just right...

 

20% on front, 10% on quarter and back windows. I wasn't going for invisibility inside the car because my sunroof lets light in from above anyway. I do have to roll the windows down at night if I'm looking for a turnoff that isn't lit by streetlights but other than that I think it's the perfect darkness and I wouldn't do it differently if given another chance. DEFINITELY wouldn't want it any lighter though unless I had state law problems.

 

Alright im pretty sure im going to go with 20 %. But should I go darker in the back. I want it to be pretty dark but not too dark to where i cant see anything at night. I was thinking 15 % for the back.

I found a pic of the 20% for you. In direct light its a bit more see-through,
but at least its not "obnoxiously illegal"[8D]
