Default 06 V6 Issues

I just bought a new to me 06 automatic with the 4.0 in it. It has 32,000 miles on it. Here's my problem, when I take off from a traffic light itlunges forward likeit's gonna go and then just about dies.At first it only started on an incline, and now it does it on flat ground too. When I say take off, I'm talking about taking off at about 2000 rpms, not racing someone. The best way to describe it is like missing a shift. Has anyone else had this problem? I searched on here but didn't find anything on this problem. Thanks in advance!

could be the dreaded "throttle lag". Apprently our cars may hesitate - something that can be a result of programming and the drive-by-wire throttle, but anyway, autos tend to feel it more than manuals. i've got a manual - I get a hesitation every once in a while, sometimes the car feels like it doesn't get up and go like "normal" cars would, even though I know its really capable of doing so. If you get a chance to though, try checking your intake and throttle body to see if they're dirty.

Yeah, bought it March 1st. I called the dearlship and am taking it in on Friday.

Dan, I saw the thread on "throttle lag" but it seemed like it was a problem when cruising down the road at speed. If this is the problem, all I have to ask Ford is wtf? This thing just about stalls out when taking off. The only thing that I have found to help alleviate the lag is to put it neutral and rev it to 3 or 4k before the light turns green. Each time I've done that, no lag. Intake and throttle body looked good, air cleaner is pretty clean too. I'm gonna fabricate my own K&N cold air intake for it at some point.

Fuel filter or fuel pump is my guess. There is actually a TSB on 05-06 fuel pumps.

Barry, you're the man. I commute 75 miles one way every day to work, and after about 50 miles I hit the 1st traffic light and after that each time I stop I get the hesitation. I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow and fax over that sheet in your link and tell them to have the parts ready for Friday. Thanks!
