Default question about brake

it is time i have to change brake for my 06 mustang v6.
i am looking for the original brake( pads and rotors) from Ford or the ebay brake( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...em140220762448).
i have no idea to make decision.
can anyone get me some suggestion?
thanks
Louis

Don't know much about those ebay brakes, but I'd stay away. Best bang for your buck would be GT brakes and rotors for $150.

fordparts.com has some reasonable pricing on oem brake pads...

althought takeoff calipers would probably be of your interest as well - when you get them you can paint them, and they'll just bold on to our v6s.

We were just talking about this. Why replace the calipers if they are the same, if you only need the relocation bracket?

my car is v6 mustang 06.
do gt brake componentsfit my car?
They do IF you have 17" wheels. The GT front brakes will notclear the 16" wheel. The GT front rotor is bigger so you have to use a bigger bracket, but the caliper is the same size.

Rear brakes are no different between the V6 and V8.

I would stay away from eBay package deals for rotors and pads.
Also avoid drilled rotors like the plague. Slotted is fine but unless
you are going to be doing the 24 hours at Daytona, drilled rotors
are not nessesary nowdays with the better non-gassing ceramic
brake pads.
Good drilled rotors are made from premium steel alloys and drilled
cheap eBay china knockoffs are not made from premium steel alloys
and stress crack underextreme use and high heat. []

Shifter breaks, can shift, oh well
Brake quit working, cant stop, oh $h)t

For the V6 to GT front brake conversion you will need:
You need 2 caliper brackets part #6R3Z-2B134-B, the same left and right.
You will also need 2 GT front brake rotors either OEM or aftermarket GTrotors.
The calipers are the same from the V6 to the GT. The rotors are bigger on
the GT because of the increased engine weight. Put GT rotors and new GT
caliper brackets on a V6 and you now have GT brakes. They wont fit inside
the 16"x7" OEM rims. But on the flip side 18"x8.5" OEM Bullitts wont fit on
a V6 with V6 caliper brackets and V6 rotors because of clearance problems
around the hub and not the inside of the rim. [:@]
