Trying to clarify the difference between FRPP and Borla muffler...

RE: Trying to clarify the difference between FRPP and Borla muffler...
See, I've heard both the FRPP duals and the Borla duals and if they are exactly the same wouldn't they sound the same??? I think we may be able to agree that the Borlas sound better hands down but most go with the FRPP because they sound "similar" and are $600 cheaper. This has boggled me for a while now how Borlas sound better if they are the exact same

Hey oddysey, don't you have a sound clip of your new mufflers?
Were they about 600-650?
How much to install?
I have Gt take-off, it's just not loud enough at idle.

Here is the thread with the clips. It sounds much better than those clips now, it took a good month or two to break in fully for me.

And the best advice I can give anyone is just listen to other people, there are a dozen members here who got the FRPP exhaust and not 1 of them is unhappy with it. Actually I think everyone here loves it!

It is a noticable difference, but "big" could be mistaken. I went from single GT to dual FRPP and yea when I fire up my car and it idles it is a bigger difference. I am going to take some more video of my car this week so I will take a start up and idle clip for you.
Seems that we need an updated FRPP clip

I too think we need new clips, because the Borla dual just sounds better to me on youtube, but it FRPP is in fact the exact same sound then I am not opposed to saving $600

RE: Trying to clarify the difference between FRPP and Borla muffler...
borla has a 4" tip, FFRP has a 3.5" tip. tips are stamped for the respective brands. other than that no difference. ive heard an FFRP in person and it sounds exactly like my borla (i cant tell the difference at least).
i love my borla and the sound & 4" tip is perfect IMHO.
