Default Kenne Bell??

has anyone tried fabbing a Kenne Bell TS onto an explorer express manifold? i was thinking a 2.1L would be cool, and would look awesome, and have better output... just wondering if any one has tried or has heard of anyone trying it...

I think that's what he was saying, the 2.1L big bore for the 4.6 v8 fab'd onto the explorer express manifold for our sixers. No one has tried it was far as I know. It would be difficult I think, but it'd be an interesting project.

It's a really cool thought,who knows.I know one of the v8 guys here tried something like that(concerning the kb is all i remember),and he lost like 50hp over his original setup so......i guess the plan could backfire maybe//

Yeah this entire thread is about makin a KB v8 supercharger fit on a v6 explorer express manifold which allows for universal attatchment really. Clerance would be the biggest issue, and as soon as they have the intercooled version that would be a direct fit too to the system.

Personally I've talked to explorer express on this and they have no problem helping out. However if some one is thinking about a KB blower, why not do a Whipple instead?

An M112 was attempted on the 4.0. It sat too far back in the engine bay and required cutting into the firewall. Vertical clearance is one issue, you also have to consider horizontal clearance.

twin screws don't use the same blower -> manifold design that roots style do. it can't happen with the conventional roots blower manifold design. You could have someone fab up something for the KB, but it would cost more than the KB itself to actually get it to fit properly with everything. It'd sit too high too i beleive. a few of us tried to convince KB to make a kit for the 4.0...the 60 kits with the x-charger alone shows lots of interest, but they didn't even reply to my e-mails, i dono about anyone else.
