I don't know....$110.00 + shipping seems high to me for a basic stock radio.
If I were you, I would invest $50 on the Shaker 500 that 157db showed you. I have that system and am very satisfies.
But the thing is I only have the 4-speaker system. I would be willing to get the shaker system he showed me, simply because its directly from an 07 Mustang, but does it matter that I only have the 4 speaker system? It seems like the head unit would way overpower my speakers, and maybe blow them out. am I wrong?

Thanks for the info

The Shaker 500 did come with sub-woofers for the doors. You could always add two more speakers to it.

Eh..I don't really want to cut into my doors.

Does anyone know if the Ford dealer will reprogram my stereo with no problems/questions asked? I was thinking about getting it installed by a guy at an mobile electronics shop, and then go to the Ford dealer and have them reprogram it. But it seems it would be much easier just to get it both installed and reprogramed by the dealer. Will they even be willing to reprogram it?

You shouldnt have to go to the dealer for anything. My friend bought a shaker off ebay that was in a mustang and put it onto his f150 that had the base stereo....its has worked perfectly

Also, the D3 has known to have its navigation issues, the z series doesnt though

That sounds pretty relieving. So i should just go to the car stereo guy to get it installed? I am hoping it'll be plug & play with no problems at all.

2 things. One is I didn't know our mustang came with a 4 speaker option. I though the shaker 500 was the base radio. Second dalbert I will be bidding on on your radio on ebay to rasie the price even more.

Only joking

Who said you had to cut your doors? You could add two more subs in the back.

Just to let you know, I bought a Ford FactoryRadiooff of eBay for my 2004 E-350, never had a problem with it not working nor did I have to go to the dealer to have anything reprogrammed.
Also recently had a JVC HD radio installed in my 2006 E-350 Truck and again, no problems.

I still think you paid too much, but as long as you are happy that's all that matters.

There are 3 options for the Entertainment Systems in Ford Mustangs;

AM/FM premium stereo with single CD player and digital clock

Shaker 500 Audio System with AM/FM stereo, 6-CD changer, MP3 capability, 6 speakers in GT, 8 speakers in Shelby GT500)

Shaker 1000 Audio System with AM/FM stereo, 6-CD changer, MP3 capability, 10 Audiophile speakers including dual 500-watt subwoofers in the trunk (V6 Premium requires V6 Safety & Security Package)
