I was racing (on a closed course, of course *Wink*)a Voltswagon Jetta sports wagon from like 80-110 and I won by about half a car. only because he got head start and my auto only downshifted to 4th.. 3rd goes to 90mph. Anyways at 110 I could def feel my driveshaft rumbling a little bit. oh btw those are rated at 200hp, 207tq and 6sp auto/manual,turboed. I am kinda dissapointed I didnt win by more. Our cars top end power sucks.

Well thing is i think he thought he won because once i hit 110 I let off and he kept on going prolly passed 120mph. I think those cars register 160 on the speedo. Anyways he tried to do a ricer fly by when i was going 70 and I floored it and pulled away pretty easily since I got to use 3rd gear. I just dont want to have a worry about my cars drive shaft as much as i do. So i am looking to replace it.

If those things are really 200 hp 207 tq and turbocharged he would have smoked you like a summer sausage. And if he passed you at 120, then he wins, because he didn't know that you let off. The official NHRA rule book says that you must turn on your flashers to shut down the race. [sm=smiley21.gif]

you know your DS is only rated for like 115 and will explode beyond that

Get the Shaftmasters driveshaft, $445 for the 4" or if you are lowered get the 3.5" for $555. No vibration from mine, smoothed out the ride and much quicker acceleration.

Get a driveshaft safety loop as well, just to be sure if you are going to be hitting speeds like that.

I dont get this. When I was at full throttle he lost,by lets say a fender.. He only passed me when I let off at 110 because I am not an idiot to go faster then tires/drive shaft is rated. anyways we raced again afetrwards and I beat him again by about 2 cars, and he let off this time.

Isn't this like the whole point of me asking about a new one..I am aware how fast my driveshaft can go.
