x-charger #75 ordered!
I did mine myself, 2 nights and a bit of sunday morning. Took my time , read a step ahead before starting the step I was on so I understodd why I was doing stuff. One part that got my buggered was the bolt you have to install prior to mounting the head onto the base plate. Turning stuff upside down buggered me up. Anyhow I forgot to do that and had to bust the red locktited bolts loose and re-tourqe them all.
Also Torch Vert told me to spray the dry gaskets with Permatex copper,, I have no leaks , I think thatd good advice.
IMO teflon paste works better than teflon tape.
Carefull with taking out the old injectors.
One thing I would do if I had to do it over is mark the electrical connectors as I unplug them, just so when you are cutting and splicing and re-routing wires you know what connectors are what.
Take your time , its actualy fun. And when that bad boy turns over for the first time your face is gonna hurt from the grin.
Oh and to steal onther bit of Torch's advise,,, pre load your custom tune first to make sure it loads. If you have an issue loading the tune,, no sense taking the motor apart.
Good Luck ,, email me with any questions, my install was only 10 days ago so I remember stuff.....

Few more things......
If you still have the prop rod holding up your hood get some hood struts (way cooler than the stick anyhow) or take the hood off.
Pick up some extra wire armour for the finishing touches
Have a good set of wire strippers
A set of little short ratchet wrench's will come in handy
You dont need much permatex black, a little tube will do.
Practice saying MMWWWWEEEEEEEE!
and Congrats,,,,

dmhimes... you should paint the "4.0" that is molded into your shock towers yellow... it adds a nice touch. AFixer did this to his if you go look at his picks.... and for anybody else, the Midwest shock tower caps and radiator extensions are really nice touchs to an XCharger modded engine bay.
Actually I ordered the plain shock tower covers with no impression ... I thought the "4.0" looked a little hokey ...
I wish they offered the radiator shield extensions for the GT500 front end .. but then don't ... I like how they finish off the engine compartment ...
