Default Mustang/350z

havent seen a topic like this one. i've always been curious about what y'all would have to say.
both are FR v6's. differences, similiarities, stock superiority, platform potential....mpg? lol. everybody's lookin at mpg along with hp/tq right now. nothing to be ashamed of(:
what do y'all think? any other cars you wanna toss in the ring?
GO!

well the 350Z is a lighter car with about 100 more hp...so it is obvious which is more powerful and $10,000 more than the Mustang V6 lol.

considering the V6 cost $10,000 less I dont think its much of a fair comparison. compare it to a GT and I'd take the GT

Let's see, if you throw in $10,000 worth of mods on that V6 it would be comparable to the 350z as far as hp, but the value of the z will be worthmore. So, save the $ and buy a GT if hp is what you are looking for.

The 4.0 Cologne engine is an old pickup truck engine.
The VQ35 is a high compression, DOHC performance motor.
Neither are in the same category, both price and performance-wise.

A V6 mustang's real competitors are actually 4-cyl. FWD cars like the Celica and Eclipse.

There's more to performance than just cylinder count.

i think the V6 might be able to step into the same room as the 350z when they start using the 3.5 duratec.

It's closer than you think. A friend of mine hasa G35 which is almost the same. It's a coin toss who wins. When I first got mine we raced on the I5. Another one has a 330i and I toast him. The 330i guy does granny shift but I still win. Just my two cents. Beside the 350 and G35 are girl cars.
