I want to change the gear oil in my '08 manual trans to whatever the best option available is. My goal is smoother shifting and maximum trans life. Any one have any experience with this? I am thinking something like a Royal Purple synthetic.

Thoughts?

Royal purple really smoothed out the shifts. Well worth the investment.

I changed mine to Amsoil. It def made it a bit quieter and the shifts are a little bit better also.

Def worth it.

Do you recall specifically, what weight and type Royal Purple you used?

You will need 3 quarts (technically 2.75 quarts) to fill your tranny.
