Why?

Go FI and get the best of both worlds...cheaper too.

When serious guys build seriously fun mustangs, they go with a FI 6.

I had a 84 Mustang with the 4 cylinder (blown up) Bought it for a song and dumped a 302 in it... Was a great car Fast Fun & cheap insurance but what a bear to get that 5.0 to fit and then run with the electronics of the car... Cried when I traded it in but now that I have my 07 it makes that old V8 look sick! Yesterday left work following some guy really hauling it. I let him chase the cops awayand then put it down for a few seconds....112 and still climbing What a thrill at 40!!

It will cost a lot. You will easily spend $12-15k or moreon the swap depending on which engine you go with.

I don't agree.... Maybe if you got a dealer to do the transplant... If you did it youself and found a donor car at the bone yard I bet for 4-5k you could make the whole switch ( if you did the work yourself) imo
