Question pypes catbacks on a V6?

Will this pypes Gt kit fit on my V6? I know the stock pipe will have to be cut and welded but will everything else fit together right? and if so do i need to pick the hanger kit option also?
Also has anyone had any problem with this product?
Thanks-

make sure you get an x pipe or h pipe, unless you are getting one made when you take it to get installed

you will also need the driver side hanger kit, as the v6 has the holes for it, but no actual bracket. dont forget to chase the threads before you install the driver brackets

i have pypes tru-dual conversion kit made for the v6 and i never had a problem with them

Yes it will fit although you will need drivers side hangers for the tailpipe. You will also need to get a X or H-pipe to replace your Y-Pipe.

Have you heard any youtube sound threads with this set up on a 4.0? I've got a complete pypes set up (headers, x-pipe, mids and Street Pro mufflers) and it sounds great...except in the mid range when you step on it. Gets a little ricey, that's why I'm trying some FRPP GTA's. Just about everything sounds good on a GT, but IMO, most exhaust does not sound good with our 4.0's.

i also have the cat back true dual setup.i used violator muffs.DON'T- THEY SOUND RICEY! it is very hard to make a 60 degree v6 sound good.the timing and lack of cubic inch make it difficult. they sent me the violators but knew i had a v6.they sell street pro ,race pro ,and
violators.i assumed the race pro would have been the loudest.not so.the violators are.they were having a sale on the dual kit with violators and i fell for it.apparently the violators sound awsome on a v8 car.i will be selling mine and trying something else.stock gt takeoffs maybe.don't want it too loud.i'm old ya know! they sound like a supra so i am told by the younger crowd.they are not bad under full throttle but at part throttle they drone and are boomy(if that is a word) sounding.not deep or muscular at all.like i said no cubic inches to give it a deeep tone. better to have a quiet muffler and carry a big bottle( or blower, your preferance) the kit does fit like a glove .

What about violators with the v6 catback kit? Do they sound bad? I heard a video of it on youtube, they sounded pretty good IMO.

Ya, I call the violators "Ear Rapers!" The street pros sound very good...to a point. Jump on youtube and search under "v6 mustang frpp exhaust" or "v6 mustang borla stingers"

I'll be letting you know how my GTA's sound, when I get them installed.

OP - I'm looking to put the same kit on my 4.0L I just picked up a GT Hpipe off of ebay.
Like others have said you will need to get a H or X pipe, drivers side hangers and the more I look at doing my set up you will probably have to get a few band clamps.

Try the true dual conversion and GT takeoffs. Sounds perfect.
