Vortech is up and running w/Tr6 plugs?
Hey guys/gals!
The Vortech is now up and running the right way. After tapping the IAT sensor and changing my plugs that has 22,1xx. miles on them. It made a great difference in the performance of the ride.
The plugs that I'm using are the NGK Tr6, Ok!
My question is how come the tr6 spark plugs are shorter than the stock v6/4.0 and what are the specs. on using a shorter plug??????
Thanks

The TR6 are shorter because they're not a direct replacement for the 4.0L plugs. The ones recommended as correct are the NGK TR5-1's (which are a range hotter unfortunately)
The length difference in the TR6 plug is minimal, and many of us running F/I have been using them without trouble.
