third brake light bulb

anybody know for an 06 the specific size or what kind of bulb I need to bye to replace the lights in the third brake light which is located on the trunk....

The 3rd brake light is only one bulb. It is fairly easy to access behind the plastic lock cover. Once you yank the bulb, it'll have the part number on it.

Get the Sylvania Long Life bulbs. The factory ones are crap.

+1 I just replaced all my rear bulbs with the Sylvania Long Life bulbs. I have seen alot of Mustangs with at least 1 rear light out, so it seems to be a crappy bulb issue. My car is a little over a year old and I already had a light go out.

I did the LongLifes when I did my sequential taillight kit.
Best $15 I ever spent for 8 Sylvania LongLife bulbs.
Wont be needing to remove a taillight housing again (PITA)
for years now.
