Swap to a bigger V6?

But if you are asking why bother with the old Cologne motors when the newer and modern (and more powerful) north american produced engines are available, that is a good question.
Torque maybe since the Mustang is heavy... Cheaper to produce is my bet. Dunno.

I looked into this with an aussie i6 falcon motor for my car, the cost issue was importing parts, fabbing up a good trans and other misc. parts. The thing to remember with a swap is to find something that can mount up, use readily available computer, trans, wiring harness, etc. For swaps on these cars, mod motors are very friendly.

They make them for the v6 and v8 front fascia.

maybe you could swap in that new 265 horse engine Ford's putting in the new v6 Edge's. plus, Tom Morana and SSM both make stroker kits for the v6. The stroker kits are cheaper than a supercharger, but you get waaaaaaaay more hp from a supercharger. and a whole new engine would prolly cost waaaaaaaay too much. Just my 2 cents.
