I have been running Ford Racing 3.73's and t-lok for a while and have had no issues. I do occasionally lay into it, but I do not do any track runs. I am also an auto, and so is my car

If you are looking to track it in the 1/4 mile get the 8.8 dont waste your time.
i had the T-Lok and i blew that to $hit, and i am a N/A car that just had gears and a tune
and it still blew it up, i just recently put the 8.8 in my car and i love it
i feel so much more secure at the track knowing that it wont break
hell my car did a 14.63@95mph and that 8.8 lets me launch as hard as i want haha

+1 this is true but the size of the diff, 8.8 compared to the smaller 7.5, is what makes it much stronger, i know 9 second race cars that use 8.8 rear ends

+1 to this, the 8.8 t-lok is so much stronger than the 7.5 t-lok

Agreed, this has been one of the issues that come to mind when I consider getting an 8.8 instead of a differential. What is the method and estimated cost for shipping one of these bad boys?

Here in NY the price difference between 7.5 gears & t-lok PLUS installation and getting a takeoff 8.8 was negligible. Installed it myself very easily. Shipping was by truck freight and was $165.00(3/08). Either way these cars need t-lok!
