Engine Swap

Well if you are going to mod it that much, if it just a fun car and not a DD. I have seen videos of 460's in these cars. Then juice up your suspension and trans so you can handle the power and wieght and you will have one of the lightest S197s with just about all the power you could ever want. You dont have to make it a drag engine either, just a mild streeter

+1. Get a turbocharger and the necessities (8.8 t-lok rear w/gears choice, Better rims/stickier tires, and aluminum driveshaft). You'll have a car that will rip up GT's by tons of car lengths in the 1/4 mile(at least 10 I'd say). Here's the most preferred Turbo kit: http://powerhouse411.com/catalog/ind...products_id=51

No way will he reach tens with just that. And if he did reach 10s it would only be one time and then might as well get a new car cause something would have blown up somewhere. Fazm I dont think has even got 10s and he has gone through how many rear ends, transmissions, etc etc..........
If you wanted a truely fast car you shouldn't have bought a v6. You will be suprised what your insurance will do......my insurance went down after trading a 4.0L v6 to a 6.0L v8. Don't ask me why or how but it went down a ton ha no complaints here either.

Yes it will be cheaper and you will be more satisfied in the long run. Unless you are trying to make a full out drag car then I could see you stayin with ur becasue you would probably switch everything to aftermarket anyways but I highly doubt it would be streetable and even if it was I don't know if I would even drive it on the street.
