no i have never washed the car with anything other than plain water and microfiber cloth. The car has only been in rain 2 times in 20 months. Even when I spray it with a hose water beads off, i wonder if this is something a dealer did or something? my car was originally on display in a casino in philidephia mississippi.... maybe they put something on the glass, i dunno...but how has it lasted almost 2 years?

Well I've never waxed the car, and I've only used the turtle wax car wash and chamois it dry from day one. I get asked all the time how I keep my car so shiny.

Mine doesn't bead water =(. I even used rainex on the car and it's still not that great. My old car when it would rain I wouldn't even need to use my wipers because the rainex worked so well. In the stang I find myself turning the wipers on the highest setting all the time. Then again it kind of rains hard here in Florida.

The film on the insides of the glass is the 'gassing'
of the new interior plastic parts on warm days.
Thats what true 'new car smell' smells is.
It then deposits a film on the interior glass surfaces.

I drive mine daily (rain or shine) and my car stays shiny clean all the time (except darn bugs!) I also wash mine with soap about once a week. Mine still beads off the water like it did when I first got it...

I think it might be something from the dealership. Not sure.. But whatever it is I want some!

I use RainX every couple of months. Sounds like the same thing but will not last 2 years. It might be something in your water. Soft or hard water?
