Default X pipe & duals?

Do they give you any more HP or Torque from putting the on our 4.0's Just ordered the Pypes version and I am putting GT take off's on. I just want a bit more rumble but I was wondering about any gains if any...

Duals (or a single, for the difference it makes) will give you an extra 5-6 hp over the stock muffler. If you were just running stock before (and not an aftermarket single muffler) you will definitely feel a difference. Car breathes a lot easier.

Anyway, it's worth it for the look and the sound alone. You will gain some horsepower too. Nothing major, but as we all know, extra horses are expensive so any little bit helps.

Also, I think it's probably impossible (especially at first) but the duals will even improve your gas mileage if you can keep your foot off of it because of the improved air flow. But really, what fun is that. Stomp on it, be noisy, and have lots of fun!

Converting to duals is all about sound and visuals. It does come with a bonus, but very minor power increase. Some have said the H-pipe increases torque and is throatier while the X-pipe increases HP and is raspier. Regardless, the combination of the X-pipe vs H pipe + catback vs off road + choice of mufflers will make a HUGE difference in the sound of your exhaust system.

I had the Ford x-pipe and dual GT take-offs on my 4.0L coupe, and it sounded great IMO. Relatively quiet at idle, and throaty when dropping the loud pedal. It didn't sound like a V8, but rather more European. I liked it alot. I doubt there is much if any improvement in performance (over a good single muffler), but just like a stereo the exhaust music will sound better coming out of two speakers.
