Thanks Saddleup! It's hard for me to even remember what my car looked like when I started. I need to take some new pic's since its changed since I took the bottom one. I now have a Shelby rear bumper, KR/SS lower grill with brake bezels, slotted and drilled rotors and this month with a little luck, my painted Super Snake stripe and paint calipers follow by new two tone seats (front & rear), putting in black swede centers

Good points Victoria.. you've got a great eye, thanks!

nmd55 - your wheels do look LITE! What exactly are they? BTW, your $4000 looks GR8!

CutterWolf - Your car IS HOT! The wheels are just PART of the whole package.. you're a LONG way from stock!

I am personally not a big fan of 20's with low profile tires.

My car is at stock ride height with the exception of Roush rear springs, (Perfect IMO).

I must say I do like the look of 20's with a taller tire, something along the lines of a 255/35/20 front and a 275/40/20 or even better 295/35/20.

Then I think the bigger wheel with a taller tire fits the look of the car better since it is so huge.

Some day I would love to do a C series bodykit or similar, but I really hate to give up any acceleration for it since I like that so much too.
I run 265/35/20's all the way around on mine

lol those are like 15 inch rims that are like 215 wide by the looks of it, lets see a stock gt even hook up with those.

I like the look of both 18 with meats and nice 20's but for street Id say 20's, performance for what on the street? your 18's arent going to make that much of a diffrence on a ****ty street that isnt meant for racing in anyway.

if your really that concerned about beating up c6 and camaros and **** you go to the track where it really counts, everybody on the street is always going to have a excuse if you beat them.

get 2 sets of rims one for street and one for the track problem solved.
to the o/p somebody else said if u dont want to sacrafice perrformance why not stay with a 16 or 17 why go 18, your reply saying you only have a v6 so your trying to get as much as you can, find a better 16 inch rim then.......

not too sure about how wide of a 10" tire you are referring to seeing that the sidewall of the Nitto 255/35 tire was completely even with the lip of the rim, but I have seen some running up to a 275 on the rear, which would stick the tire out somewhat at the tread portion of the tire....and I don't think that would look too bad, because it wouldn't be drastic.

JMO, I believe a 285 or 295 would be too much for a 8.5" wide rim

JMO, 295's are perfect for a 10" wide rim.

Wink 20 inch...

I went from 16's to 18's to 20"...............20' are great if you do all the other upgrades, i.e. shocks, struts, springs and sways........

Only some 20's look good..............some are really too loud.......not subtle enough.

Unless you do a big brake kit..............20's make your brakes look kind of say "small", even if you have some huge body kit........you need brakes to make it all come together......

Get a take off set of GT front brakes................and some 18's.......255/45/18

you will be fine..............IMO

P.S. LOVE my V6 performance..........why would anybody put Shelby Cobra badges on their GT............should have bought a Shelby......go figure........IMO!

I wasn't talking about the width of those tires. You can always get them wider. My point was the smaller wheel and bigger profile. Oh and that car I posed there had more HP stock than a current GT stock by a lot. That's a 68 GT500 which came with a 428 and made 390HP @ 5600 and 460 TQ @ 3200. I'm not saying it would hook with those tires but still.

I'd like to have these kind of tires http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/overv...al-t-a/12.html Old school baby!

Of course they only make those in 14, 15 and 16 inch. I was looking at some bullit style 15 inchers that would work with those tires. The only thing is I don't know if that kind of wheel would bolt up. I'd love to have some old school style tires on it like these though.
