My wife's Lexus has OEM HIDs and I cannot tell any difference behind the wheel from my Retro Solutions. They are a very high quality kit.

If you tried them and didnt like them...accept my appology. But multiple times folks chime in bashing (in the main S197 section) them as somehow a "ricer" mod when they have zero experience with the conversion...they "just don't like em."
The experience I have is of 'the being blinded by them' variety.
I dont expect my comment to have any bearing on the
OP purchasing or not.
I think the money outlaid for HIDs should be spent at the
eye doctor getting checked for night blindness. IMHO

I think (Correct me if I'm wrong) after the 06 models, they stopped coming with reflectors (Little black mushroom thing) My car has it and it disperses light effectively without causing blindness to other motorists. I do think the stock bulbs were terrible thats a main reason I sought out HIDs to improve my vision at night. Retro-Solutions probably makes THEE best kit out there

Thanks man! Nice to know that you are protected by lifetime warranty should anything ever happen too, right?

The funny thing is we have run ballast trade in program for dead or junk ballasts in exchange for DIGITAL brand ballast at discount. The two most common trade-in brands are "XenTec" (which are all knock-offs coming from the same person) and VVME. Ironically the two most commonly purchased brands on these boards.
