Default Stripes

For those of you with stripes where did you purchase them? Also does anyone have that link where its a flash animation of our Mustangs and you can put your color in for the car and test out what different color stripes look like on it?? I saw the link here a few months ago.

Also how much is it to have stripes installed? I will not install them myself-- I would go nuts.

Oh and how long do stripes last? I wash my car regularly. I dont want to have to re-stripe the car every 5 years; are there any that last for 10+ years?? (by that time I probably wont have the stang anymore :P)

I was going to get the GT500 Front fascia but I actually came up with a different (CHEAPER) mod list for now. Stripes, Hood Scoop (not sure if I'll go functional or not yet), dual exhaust, and rims. That should spice up the looks of the car enough to hold me off till I can afford a GT

my car had stripes from factory. u can buy them at americanmuscle.com for a reasonable price plus u get 5% off for being an MF member. my car is an 05 therefore it was produced in 04 so my stripes have lasted me perfectly for about 5 years.

baltimorestreetmods(.com) is where most people on this forum get stripes from.

For anyone curious heres the link to see your car + stripes:
http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/time...05/stripes.htm

I'm for sure going with stripe option 1 (just two basic stripes down the middle.

But what color should I do on my Performance White car? SATIN SILVER or SONIC BLUE or other? Take into consideration the Roush hood scoop

make sure you get good vinyl stripes and not cheapies.
I got mine from graphicsexpress.com or .net or something like that, very happy with them.
Make sure you find someone who knows how and has installed them before; you don't want them to peel off after awhile!

i install my own vinyl stripes between 400-500 is what i charge full run down bumpers.....installing ur vinyl i wud charge prob 300 down the bumpers ..its not really the vinyl that is the cost its the time and experience.....as for longevity ..man thats tough..manufactureres only warranty the stripes if there verticley on teh car..so nothing on teh hood trunk or roof wud be warranty..thats their catch..kinda sucks...they leave us installers with all teh warranty work....colors play a roll in how long they will last...mettallics dont last as long as solids.....there are tons of places who will sell u vinyl.the only really really important thing to remember is..make sure the vinyl is "cast"....u gotta ask em ...trust me here..

I bought my stripe kit from Baltimore Street Mods. If you check their site you can get a list of installers for your area and check the cost.

When I was looking to get my hood redone the installer here in Michigan wanted $125 just for that part. The first place that did my entire kit charged me $150 (I have since had the bumper stripes painted, the vinyl kit doesn't fill in the license plate area on the Superstripe kit that I have).

If you do the dual stripe that is the most popular it is a time consuming but not insurmountable task. The Superstripe is a more difficult installation.

I would go with a less common black and get black wheels IMO it looks really good.

I was thinking the same thing about the silver but then I also really like how that blue looks on a white stang like mine too...

Hard decision.

As for installation I ALWAYS see this guy driving around in his Caddy (which has five t.v.'s in it btw) and I guess he installed my friends window tint and I think he used to work at a local shop. I'll try stopping him and talking to him one of these days and see what he could do it for.
