Default Anyone connected an ipod to their shaker 500?

Hi, i just got my car and was wondering what is the best way to connect an ipod to the shaker 500. Are fm modulators my only option? Anyone know about an adapter, interphase or whatever to hook it up directly to the head unit? I just want clean sound and from what i have read fm mods are not the greatest . Thanks

I'm watching closely, but so far no one has found an aux input harness. There's been a few false alarms, just enough to keep you interested. I have an FM modulator on my sirius portable but it stinks, no better than FM quality and generally worse than a good clean FM stereo station. I'm thinking about dumping the set. Some XM folks have reported good success with a wired modulator, I'd imagine you could do something similar. You might rather just burn your MP3 files on a CD -- at a 100 songs or so per disk X 6 disks you can fit a lot of music there, although certainly not as much as the iPod. It'll skip more, but I would think the quality would be much better.

There's a lot of threads you can research, but it sounds like it's a generic head unit that is used in other ford vehicles that have factory installs of DVD players and such.
