Default Dual Exhaust

How much would it cost to convert my sixxer to dual exhaust? I'm talkin' parts, installation, the whole thing. Also, where would I order the parts for it?

It all depends on which kit you get.
They range from $150 for a GT take-off set-up to
over $1100 for an aftermarket set-up from Corsa.
What ya gots to spends?
FRPP makes a kit.
Pypes makes a kit.
FlowMaster makes a kit.
The list is endless.
How much searching did you do before asking here?

Well it's not gonna happen now, but I'm about to get a job and I thought dual exhaust would be something to save up for. I don't want a crappy set up, I want it to be fairly nice. I want some more power too!

Dual Exhaust wont do anything but sound better.
The S197s OEM exhaust flows enough that you
wont get any power benifits by going true duals
on your sixer. A $5 GT M/T take-off muffler sounds
400% better that the V6 muffler thats on there now
and they can be had for $5 + S/H from eBay.
Go for the FRPP set-up ForTheWin.
$699 or so for the kit.
Instructions for the kit.

Thats the bad reverse Y set-up.
Not the true dual with an H or X pipe.
No wonder you have to discount them to sell them.
Get a true dual set-up, not a choked down two pipes
into one pipe then split back into two pipes. WTF?
Choke, Gasp, Wheeser....

It will not sound like a true dual set-up.

So what's the difference if it's a reverse Y setup vs true dual when it's not going to make any performance gain anyway on a V6? You kind of contradict yourself in this thread. On the one hand you say ...

"Dual Exhaust wont do anything but sound better.
The S197s OEM exhaust flows enough that you
wont get any power benifits by going true duals
on your sixer. "

Then you go on to say...

"Get a true dual set-up, not a choked down two pipes
into one pipe then split back into two pipes. WTF?
Choke, Gasp, Wheeser.... "

Make up your mind!
