I have been leading toward the yukons as well recently. But they are up there in price as well. It might be easier to just go with the 8.8 soon.

if price is the issue, i would rather direct my cash towards a better posi than the FRPP t-lok. from what members are saying (not sure if all are commenting from actual experience), you can get the much lower priced motives and get no whine from a "good" install. otherwise, save up and wait longer for an 8.8 take-off with ratio of your choice.

If they have the M stamped into them,
they whine eventually,
if not immediatly.

I had my motive 3.73's and frpp tlok installed by the dealer (expensive....) for about a year and have heard nothing. How loud is this whine supposed to be anyways? Can you hear it from inside? If there is a whine, its not very loud.

sounds like a high pitched drone that consistently makes a monotone noise that goes up or down depending on what speed ur traveling. not such a big deal for a few short cruises but can get annoying as hell on longer drives.

Actually ford bought out motive but kept manufacturing them. If you order a pair of FRPP gears and get motives, u should return them for ford's (if u paid ford's price)
