Default Thinking about lowering...

So I was thinking about lowering my stang a bit in the next few days and I was looking at two different Eibach kits.

Here is the one: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/pro...pring_Kit.html

and the second: http://www.stage3motorsports.com/pro...g_Springs.html

Now the one allows me to go almost an inch lower then the other and I wasn't sure which would look better so I wanted another opinion on those who have lowered their car as well as what kit they had purchased.

Finally, to those who gone lower what kind of installation prices should I be looking at?

I think the sportlines look the best but provide more problems than the pro kit. What things do you encounter on your typical commute? steep driveway? If I remember correctly you will need more supporting parts with the sportlines than the pro kit.

If you can, i'd say install it yourself. I just finished installing my suspension kit. If you must have it installed, I had a friend tell me he paid around $60 to have the springs installed.

Steep driveway is no problem and no 'extreme' speed bumps around my typical drive every day. That was my first concern as well but I started to pay attention and I should be fine.

What other supporting parts am I looking at?

Installation is easy. You'll need camber bolts or camber plates to adjust camber afterwards.

make sure the kit you choice doesn't make your car undriveable. 1"-1 1/2" gives a great look while still being usable. You'll need camber bolts to get the front end back in line. Some say it's not needed, but an adj panhard bar will keep your rear end in the center of the car and keep your 3 link free and non-binding.

I actually picked up one of the clearance suspension kits from CDC. It's basically the FRPP handling pack minus the front sway bar and strut tower brace.

i hav h&r's. camber bolts, and an adjustable panhard bar. bumpsteer is not need 100% necessary but isnt a bad thing to have. but eventually youll want to throw some new shocks and struts on. if lowered to far you eat your stock ones up like crazy.

hmm alright. I didn't know I needed the camber bolts/plates so thanks for making me aware. Seems like some are the same price as the springs.. ha.

I'll definitely check those other kits out that some mentioned for sure. thanks for all the replies so far...really helping me!
