Question `05, `06, `07 - Major/Minor Differences?

Ok, I think I'm about to become a Mustang owner, and hoping some folks here are willing to enlighten me, and shed light on the ups/downs - ins/outs of these three model years?

My understanding is that the `05 was a redesign from `04/previous years, and that cosmetically/design-wise, `05-`07 is "pretty much" the same?

Is this correct so far, and what other differences might I be looking at, yet possibly unaware of, here please?

Thanks in advance...
PS - I've done "some" reading online, but after months of looking at other vehicles, my eyes and brain are bit 'toasted', and I'm concerned that I might overlook some info. on these `stang's that is valuable to me. Links to tech specs might be good, however I would really prefer to hear directly from "the horses mouth" as opposed to some cold/stiff (and potentially inaccurate) data sheet. I'm likely looking at the 'lower-end' (Standard/Deluxe models), and interested in any differences such as HP, Torque/gearing, suspension, etc., etc., on the 4.0's ~ thanks again... *Note* For example, I've seen differences concerning insurance, where one company rates the convertible as a better risk (premium-wise), yet other companies say the hardtop is less expensive to cover - hence, confusion.

Yes sir, iPod, other mp3 players, anything that uses a standard stereo jack. Also I think in the 07 or 08+ when you change the dash lights it changes all the colors for all the lights in the car, that may just be the GT/CS though

The MyColor is an IUP (Interior Upgrade Package) that gives you mileage and other info as well as the ability to change the color of the dash. It also includes the satin aluminum cover.
If he is looking at a Deluxe Mustang, it will most likely not have that option.

Now I think the '08 and up models had the option of Ambient Lighting. Your footwells and cup holders had the neon like effect that you could change the color.

The Pony Package option was first offered in '06 so if you won't find it on an '05 unless the parts were added by the previous owner.

The 07s have the provisions to add a 5.4L, also if u have the shaker 500 they came with sirius radio on the 07-up. the headlights turn on with you unlock the doors on the 07-up. they have aux port. the a/c ***** are in a different order. and im not 100% if the V6s had 3.55 rear gears or not but the 3.55 became an option instead of standard in 07. They added the 3.31 instead for better fuel mileage. All of the above is for the 07-up.
