Big thanks, and New Stripes !!
I've been hanging around here for a while, soaking up all the great info. So Thanks to all you MF'ers!!! The knowledge I picked up here has helped me and a lot of good things to my car.
The post is about my new stripes I want to show off! I measured and taped them off, then had a local shop shoot silver and then clear-coat for me. I think it turned out well, and seems to add a few HP too!
Thanks again to everyone on the Forum.

Nice stripes, I have an 05 sonic blue too and have been debating on silver stripes. You just confirmed my thoughts to get them. If you don't mind me asking, how wide are the stripes and how much did they run you?

The center stripes are 8 inches each with a 3 1/2 inch gap in the middle. The outside "pinstripes" are 1/2 inch with a 1/2 inch gap between them and the larger center stripes.
Those measurements keep the washer squirters in the small blue stripe. I figured they would stand out more if they were on a silver area.
Cost was $1000, friend of a friends local shop in Burbank, CA. I did the measuring and sanding and taping. The shop did the paint and clear-coated each painted panel. Bumpers, trunk, spoiler, roof and hood.
I guess I saved about $400, according to the original estimate, by doing the prep. It was a pain to get the stripes strait, sanding was a little scary and took a long time. I guess it was good to save a little $$$, but in retrospect I'd probably have the shop to the whole thing if I did it again.
From the dealer I had gold side stripes. I peeled those off and purchased OEM silver sides. The shop put those on for "free". (part of the original estimate).
I love the look of stripes on mustangs, good luck with yours.
