Default Clutch=Brake lights

Bought my 05 V6 a few months back, and was told that when I hit my clutch to shift that my brake lights flashed for about 1 sec or less. Figured i was nicking the brake as I shifted. But the problem continued till I had someone stand behind me while I pumped the clutch and it still happen probably 75% of the time, so I know I'm not catching the clutch even though I was positive that wasn't the case. Called Ford and they were useless as expected. I checked my brake fluid and have plenty. Any thoughts, ideas, or solutions would be appreciated.

Check your blinker fluid, sometimes this can be the cause if it's sittin a quart or so low.

Sorry I couldn't resist :P

That is an odd problem. Some guys I work with wired my brake to my horn this summer - every time i braked, I would honk. Maybe someone is messing with you.

I have no useful info, sorry.

Your SJB is waterlogged and corrodded.

Check the water leak TSBs for the answer.
Or your carpet pad for mold....
