Default wheel problem

Today I hit a big bump on the road. And everytime I turn the wheel it makes a strange noise where the steering column reaches the firewall. Car drives fine and it doesnt need an alignment but everytime I turn the wheel it makes a wierd noise.

You may have bent something, get the car on a lift and check it out.

Also, just because a car "drives fine" does not mean the alignment isn't totally screwed up after a hit like that. You can have the wheels pointed in such a way that you're scrubbing tread off your tires at an accelerated rate even when it's not doing anything obvious like pulling to one side.

As stated above, get it up on a left and carefully checked.
