car jumps at a press of a button
It feels weird but when i press the window lever and hold it the car does a slight growl. It doesn't feel normal to me, so i was wondering if anybody has the same thing happen to them?

Auto or manual...
Your probably just noticing for instance "when you yank the wheel to its limit the cars Rpms drop then raise". My guess from putting stress on the Alt/battery... I am probably explaining it wrong but its noticeable in all cars from my experience.. Hope I am explaining your problem...

All works off of the principal of "amperage torque". When you dead end the window, you draw more amps as the window motor is building more torque to push the window, though it can't. The increased amp draw affects the alternator, because anytime you demand more amperage from the alternator and the speed the alternator is spinning at is not quite sufficient for meeting the amp requirements, torque is increased. It all deals with magnetic flux and blah blah. But the increased torque causes the "belt train" to slow down.

I've noticed the same thing too. It happened with my past cars and never was a problem. Hasn't bothered me enough to do anything about it though. I've heard upgrading to a larger gauge wire on the alternator helps but I've never seen any proof. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Upgrading to a larger gauge wire on anything will make the wire more efficient at transferring current. It should help.

The point in upgrading the wiring is good bit less stress on the alternator, saving it's life. Another good thing(as mentioned earlier and should be obvious now) is that the alternator puts less stress on the engine, when you have things like a/c and stereo going. But it is probably negligible.
