i'm also new to the mustang family, and I have a 2010 V6. The thing is I want my pony to make a better sound. I've seen the Magnaflow exhaust, but I don't trust that much in it.

Can someone tell me if the Magnaflow exhaust REALLY does add horsepower, and is a good option?

What other options, aside from the magnaflow exhaust, I have to add a better, more tougher sound to my V6, without sacrificing HP? Is one of them "eliminating" one of the cat's????

Thanks

for V8's, an upgrade to exhaust is usually just for sound/tone(if your just doing the muffler back upgrades).. for V6's, the restrictive Y pipe is somewhat choking the engine.. 6ers see a bigger gain from it due to having more released backpressure. If i had a 6, first thing I'd do would be gt rear bumper, then dual exhaust for HP/sound.

After that, a tuner.

Keep the cats on.. the 4.0 sounds like utter crap without them. A decent "true-dual" exhaust system will sound good. I'm biased.. but the FRPP x-pipe package sounds very sweet with no drone.

Also.. not sure about the 2010 rear.... but with the 05-09.. there is no need to get the GT bumper.

You need a new bumper on the 10's the FRPP mufflers are nice and loud, but I was not a fan of the X. I love my H now though.

You just need the lower valance portion of the bumper and if you are gonna replace it, get the gt500 valance. Looks better, is funtional, and less than $200.
