Default Stop bump or catch up bump

This just started occurring a few weeks ago. When coming to a stop the car stops then there's a bump. Almost feels like the rear end is draggin behind then catches up to the stopped car and bumps it. Haven't had a chance to get under it and check for anything loose. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

TAKE THE BOWLING BALL OUT OF THE TRUNK...

fricken caps lock

Check the UCA and LCAs for bushing play.
Thats what keep the rear for and aft.
The panhard does the side to side job.

To be clear - there are TWO bowling ***** in the trunk, no kidding. When I asked her if she had noticed it, she told me the same thing.

Plan to get under there soon to check bushings and such. I did have the LCAs off to regrease them, but that was a sometime in December.

Have you done anything with the UCA? The mounting holes for the UCA have some slop in them - something like a 16mm hole with a 14mm bolt.

The UCA is stock, kept putting off changing it. 8.8, Roush spring/shocks, CHE lowers, hotpart relocations and panhard (which aren't all that hot imho).

You could just be getting the slop from the mis matched bolt and holes in the UCA. I used to get that same bump feeling, but not so much now that I upgraded the UCA and HotPart included the step part to fill the hole up.

Can you put the right size bolt in the hole to stop the bump? I haven't experienced it yet, but was just wondering if that was a quick fix.

I don't think you can change the bolt - you need to change the stepped spacer in the mount. The hole in the UCA won't take a bigger bolt. You can order just the spacer I believe - but if you are going to have to take it apart anyway might as well consider the upgraded UCA. When I got mine from Hot Part they included the stepped spacer.
