yesterday my battery died got it jump started and when turned off is dead again. i noticed a cable just hanging near the battery its like a brass plug with a plastic cover over it. Dont know what it connects to and if this is what is causing my problem. Anyone know what that cable is. it comes out from the driver side and runs along the back towards the battery.

 

are you the original owner ? might have been a power wire to an amp ,or accessory , in any case the batt. on our car s are notorious for not being very good . I just replaced mine , out of the blue just died , jumped and it worked fine for a week , then it got progressively worse , it would die , I would jump it . it would last 3 days , then one day , until it just wouldn't hold charge anymore . I guess it was time , it was almost 4 years old

 

Yeah sounds like a amp wire as I have mine hanging near my battery after I took out my amp and sub. Sounds like dead battery, I have a 06 also and I had to replace mine I think around this past March which it lasted 4 years. I would keep jumping mine and it would work for a little while then die like stated above.
