Default got my exhst done..might have a problem

So I just got my exhaust done. I it looks good and sounds great..the only concern I have is that there is a ton of ratteling. I hear it when I'm at a stop and when I hit the gas its at its loundest and its quite loud. It seems to peak at 1500 rpm then stop at about 2000. It sounds as though its comming from where my shifter is. I can also feel a slight vibration on it and also on my butt when I first hit the gas.

Is their a breaking in period for the exhaust? Or did this shop do a half *** job?

Sounds like your shop did a half *** job.
From day one mine never made any rattling sounds.
Use the search box and see what comes up for exhaust rattles. It may help you pin point the problem.

Thanks stang for all the info....I will be taking it back to the shop on Monday....I looked for awhile trying to find a good shop too. This one had great reviews. The more I think about pisses me off that he would even give my car back with it sounding this bad.I know he had to hear it when he pulled it out of the garage. I would be embarresed to say I did the work on the car.

When you go back to the shop dont pay them anymore, make them fix it for free. If they wont fix i for free, take it to another shop.

That wouldn't be an option for me, I would park there in the most inconvenient spot for them until it was fixed.

Which exhaust did you end up with? The GT mufflers, flowmaster 40's or what ever the other one you mentioned in the other thread? Did the weld or clamp?

OP, I had my mid muffler tack welded just to be sure it would not slip out. The shop did have to make a hanger for the driver's side.

Hehe. I've tried that before. Then a cop came by and told me I couldn't park there and if I didn't move he'd have my car towed.
