If you feel you can make your own supercharger, why not make your own CAI?

Thats actually a VERY, VERY good question, and I really don't know why I haven't thought of it...

I think it's time to start taking measurements and calculating airflow...

I wonder if I re routed the piping I could use forward speed of the car to ram air through the filter? Just an idea

Wow.... Is he crying.And I ibuilt a ram air out of duct work.... It came out at my fog light. And cai are all the same. Useless without a tune

What were your results on the ram air? More horsepower? Better throttle response?

Ram air doesn't add performance on these engines unless the engine can use that additional volume. Cams, LT's, intake manifold, maybe some head work and you might see some gains over a "normally" installed CAI.
