Default Gas differences?

I was wondering is there any difference in gas between normal premium and like the nitrogen enriched premium gas from shell and invigorate premium from bp... Does it make much of a difference which one you use?

Just a bunch of hype IMHO. I just use Costco gas and have no issues. Premium only since I run an X-Charger.

I know there is a difference, I get less mileage running Pilot, Mapco, Local Convenience store, no name gas station than I do running Mobil/Exxon, Shell or BP.
But I am running stock on 87.

Could be the ethanol percentage. The higher the ethanol percentage the lower the gas mileage in general.

I've only run Shell V-Power for 6 years now. A while back I bought full tanks of gas from every local place. Shell had the best feeling response and had better gas mileage. Engine felt smoother and internal mechanical parts appeared to be cleaner.

I run a 93 tune on my mustang and use V-Power. higher octane = more compression before detonation = a bit more power. The advantage to V-Power is in the detergents that keep your fuel system clean.

Ethanol does produce less potential energy than stand gasoline. They should have used sugar instead of corn. Higher yield. So in reality, you're burning more gas to do the same or less work. The government got the one right.... :X

I doubt there is very much difference. Most gas in an area comes from the same source, each company brings their tankers to the main source and fills up. I've read that "enriched" gas means the company dumped a couple of gallons of detergent into a several thousand gallon tanker which amounts to nothing.

Actually, Gas does come in on 2 Pipeline to the terminals in Knoxville, all grades, all companies in the 2 pipelines yet. So we have I think 4 Terminals that do the blending, that includes making regular, mid-grade and premium for the different Companies and it is a lot more than just throwing a couple of gallons of detergent in the tanker.

Sunoco and Shell pride themselves on using only their tanks and tankers so other lesser fuel doesn't get mixed in. Considering we had a large refinery 30 minutes from me and looking at the setup, I believe.

That aside, my small scale test proved conclusive enough for me to buy the better gas.
