Default Is upgrading to GT brakes worth it?

Does upgrading to the GT brakes make that big of a difference for normal, everyday driving for a 07 V6? I'm going to be changing and painting the brakes (Torch Red G2 kit) this weekend and I was debating buying the GT caliper brakes and painting them in case I upgrade the brakes in the future. Right now I have 18" chrome rims for the summer but I put the 16's back on in the winter. Once those tires wear out i can upgrade to at least 17's and do the GT brakes.

Is it really worth all that? I've heard some people say you only feel the difference with the GT rotor upgrade if you do a lot of quick, heavy braking. I also heard if you want to improve petal stiffness you're better off upgrading to steel braided brake lines.

Ehh it's not the best mod I've done but the bigger brakes definitely look better. Plus when I swapped from 16's to 18's the caliper clearance was close, so the GT brackets give me peace of mind. If you need brakes I'd say go for it since it can be done relatively cheap

I noticed a huge difference, Brake upgrade is one of my fav mods, but I have Summer tires so the grip is there. This is like every other mod; it'll reveal the next weak link be it rubber, Brake lines, or suspension.

Get in touch with rotorpros, They can set you up with everything you need and for cheap.

Take my advise. The calipers are identical v6 vs v8, only change is the rotor & caliper mounting bracket. If I would do over again I would go to a boneyard pick up the brackets. Then go buy aftermarket crossdrilled GT rotors and you would have a much better look and probably cheaper than buying from NTO. Now I have an extra set of calipers and a set of V6 rotors that I have no use for! I also bought the GT dust shields thinking they were larger... Nope same exact ones.

I did the front rotor upgrade with Hawk HPS pads, a noticeable difference coming from the V6 rotors and stock pads.

the only reason why id buy those breaks is simply for looks... your current breaks are more than capable of stopping your car efficiently. Id only add GT/GT500 breaks if your making 350+rwhp

I wouldn't even buy them for looks, they really don't look too much different then the stock V6 rotors...
