Default Flywheels

Hello all,

I have actually lumped one of these lovely motors into my 1971 capri, but used a explorer flywheel, i have seen that i can get a aluminum one for the mustangs but am unsure of the differences between explorer and mustang, so i was wondering if anyone that has upgraded to an aluminum flywheel and still has their old one lying around could they do a few measurements for me? over all height, and thickness at bolts,

Thanks in advance

Ben

An aluminum flywheel on the 4.0 is actually a downgrade. Most that have installed them have not had good results. Stick with stock flywheel on the 4.0SOHC.

+1, I am kinda glad the aluminum flywheel I had doesn't work with the adapter kit.
