Hi Guys,

I'm thinking about instead of converting a V6 into dual, how about enlarge pipes from 2.5" to 3" with a good aftermarket muffler such as FRPP single, borla single, magnaflow, etc? Hence, it will have a good combination of air flow, velocity(some concern that dual will loose torque) and sound?

How do you guys think?

I wouldn't put a single exhaust on my car, that's just me, I don't like the look of it. And you don't lose that much torque. I doubt you would even notice.

3" is overkill and your low end will suffer greatly.

Stay with the 2.5" and the Borla idea.

Yea you'd probably lose some significant back-pressure.

Would be pointless... Especially since the 4.0 flows just fine with a single aftermarket muffler N/A.
