Agreed that the OP will never get close to 160 but he should be able to do better than 118 with the 3.7L. Even the stock 4.0L's can push to 120 or better (before the DS self destructs). Maybe kick it out of OD and see if she picks up a few more MPH. The additional torque at higher RPM's may be all you need.

If you get a tuner and change your top speed limiter, I would recommend checking to see what speed rating your tires are. Most cars have a speed limiter for a reason. My pickup shuts of at 100. Either the alum. drive shaft, or the tires, or some other reason. In perfect conditions, that 3.7 would probably do 150+. But that doesn't mean it should. I had a Grand Prix GTP, added a bunch of mods, realized at about 160 that I had S rated tires. Went straight to the tire shop for an upgrade.

Yea, I love the buyers that see the 160MPH on the speedo
and think it will actually go 160MPH bone stock right off the
stealership lot.

if you haven't noticed, the OP's post count is 1.

I'm willing to bet if the admins looked up the IP, its either a 1 time visitor being lame or its a current forum member who created a 2nd account just to see who they could get worked up.

OP made a crack about my car not being able to reach 118mph on my 2013's Garage page. I'm well aware. Then again, I'm an autocrosser, not a drag racer, and if you're exceeding 115mph on a cone-killing course you're either doing it very wrong or doing it very right.

For those who resorted in name calling, I pity all around you. I merely asked a question. I traded in my 2011 Kia Optima SX Turbo with a 4 cylinder engine, which would go over 120mph for my Mustang. The Kia had the speed, but was not set up right for a high speed corner like my Mustang. So how can a Kia with 274HP go faster than a Mustang with 305HP?

At 58 I want to feel and do certain things before I die. Going over 150mph is a must. Does it scare me to be caught, certainly. I go on a major highway where I know exactly where police can and cannot park with sight well ahead and behind with no other cars around. When you are concerned about you bucket list, you will understand. And I know how to make the governor go away and I lose my warranty if I do....
